Brief History
Muslim Association College of Engineering, (MACE) Venjaramoodu, Thiruvananthapuram is managed by the Muslim Association founded in 1956 on the initiative of a-band of enlightened citizens of the capital city of the State of Kerala, The Muslim Association through the years have grown into one of the premier cultural organizations of the State whose contributions to the cause of education has been widely acknowledged. The Association's main asset has always been a fast growing fraternity of members, many of whom occupy prominent positions in professions, civil services, business, social and cultural fields. It is their joint dedicated work that has taken the Association forward within a short period, providing access to high quality education to all, particularly, the members of the Muslim community who are still lagging behind in the sphere of education.

MACE is yet another milestone in the Association's march ahead to the goal

The college is situated in Venjaramood, 28 kilometer away from Trivandrum City and 2 kilometers from Venjaramoodu junction well connected by road. The Trivandrum Central Railway Station is just 28 km and the Trivandrum Airport is 25 km from the institution. In a quiet and scenically enchanting rural environment, the college has sprung up as if with a magic touch. In this age of Knowledge based economy and society, this new institution is poised to provide Hi-Tech education in engineering and technology. A comprehensive package of training, learning, evaluation and monitoring have been evolved with the help of senior faculty, men of proven competence and long experience. MACE has set its goal high to produce engineers and technologists who can compete with the product of world-class institutions in this country elsewhere with confidence.

Along with providing quality education, our mission is to mould generations of young men and women whose commitment to their profession is unswerving and whose personal development is balanced and well integrated. Our academic programme and extracurricular activities inside the campus are so designed as to give them profound knowledge of the subject of study and a sense of responsibility to the society to which they belong. No compromise shall be made at any point of education in the matter of quality. The American practice of periodic assessment and accreditation of the institution has begun in our country also, under the auspicious of AICTE/UGC in the growing competitive educational environment.

MACE hopes to meet this challenge and turn it into an opportunity to make this college a world-class institution in all respects.

Day to day administration of the College shall be on the pattern followed in reputed Institutions in India and abroad. It aims at setting up a completely computerized administrative network in the Campus by installing a novel, Educational Management Software developed by one of the leading software companies in the State. This facilitates better inter-personal relationship between the teachers, students and their parents and ultimately establishes a paperless office as well. The progress reports, results of internal and external examinations of the students and even the information on their day-to-day attendance in the class shall be made available to the parents through the 'World Wide Web' (www), so that they can keep track of the life and academic work of their ward in the classroom and the campus. The transparency will keep the students on their toes always. Students also can keep track of their performance through the intranet available in the campus. The information related to fees remitted by the students, fines, if any, for belated payments etc., should be made available. MACE also proposes to introduce "Smart Cards" to the students wherein complete information would be stored and all transactions inside the campus would be through this card.
