Mode of Admission and Fee Structure
Eligibility
A pass in the Plus Two examination from any one of the Institutions in Kerala State or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together is eligible for admission. The eligible candidates under SEBC category will have a relaxation of 5% marks for free/ payment seats.
SC/ST students need only a pass in the qualifying examination.
Allotment of seats
The number of students to be admitted from different categories is apportioned as follows *
(a) Government Quota - 50%
(b) Management Quota - 50% (Including 10% for
NRI’s)
* Subject to revision by the Government
Selection
(i) The selection of candidate belonging to (a) will be on the basis of their rank obtained in the entrance examinations, Government of Kerala.
(ii) The selection of candidates belonging to (b), under Management quota, will be as prescribed by the Government from time to time, on the basis of rank obtained in the Entrance Examinations conducted by the Government of Kerala.
(iiI) The selection of candidates belonging to NRI category will be on the basis of the marks scored by them for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry which alone will be taken into account for determining their rank. In the case of a tie, the marks scored in Mathematics will be taken as criterion on rank. Once admitted transfer from NRI category to RI category is not permissible. They need not necessarily appear for entrance examination.
Age
The applicant should have completed 17 years of age on the 31st December of the year of admission. No relaxation of minimum age limit shall be permitted on any account. |
