Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/ improvements.
Leaders are nominated for every class based on the student’s academic performance. Meeting of Class Leaders are held by Departments. The decision of the Department Meeting conveyed to higher authorities whenever required. Senior level faculty members guide students for their improvement in academic matters. Introduction of new systems and improvement in the existing system, etc is suggested by the department and conveyed to Principal.
Mechanism/Norms and Procedure for democratic/good governance
Suggestions for improvement/introduction of new policies are proposed by departments to the Principal. The Principal convenes meeting of Head of Departments, discusses the proposals in depth and the final decision conveyed to the management council for approval through secretary. Secretary intimates decision by contacting council members or convenes meeting if required.
Students feedback on institutional governance/faculty performance
This institution is following advisory system where 30 students are looked after by a faculty member. He is keeping students records and guides the students in academic & other matters.
Students are directly contacting their advisors and informing the performance of teachers. Advisors shall be contacting the concerned HOD’s and discuss the weakness of teachers and request correction.
Secondly Principal is collecting feedback of students on teachers performance in prescribed format, analyses the performance and initiate appropriate steps.
Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students
Faculty members intimate their grievances through HOD to Principal and Principal to Management Council. Student’s grievances are conveyed to staff advisors.
