MACE has a well equipped centralized computer center to cater to the needs of high profile students and faculty in the college. It is housed, in a magnificent state-of-the-art building having specialized laboratories to provide variety of platforms and computing environment for UG, PG and research students. The center possesses a number of servers and over 150 branded Pentium-D computer systems.

The academic buildings/library/administrative blocks and all the hostels of MACE are interconnected using Wi-Fi with limited number of access points. The Administrative Block, Training and Placement Block, Auditorium and Library are also connected via CAT5 cables.

In addition the center has 5 SUN CAD workstations meant for use by UG/PG/PhD students for their projects and research work. The center is fully networked through high-end intelligent CISCO switch, and possesses round the clock 2 Mbps leased line, ISDN and a 4 Mbps leased line in a different pipe for the Wi-Fi connectivity for the academic, administrative and hostel blocks of the campus, with internet facilities on all the nodes. It also has the latest versions of compilers, scientific, technical and engineering software, training kits etc. for the students of different branches of engineering.

Rules & Regulations

Members have to produce their smart cards (Identity card)for entering into the MCC.

Users have to keep their personal belongings inside the property counter, at the entrance.

Members are requested to maintain absolute silence in and around the MCC.

Members shall not engage in conversation (including subject discussions) in any part of the MCC so as to cause annoyance to any other members.

Users are not permitted to alter the arrangements of tables, chairs, etc., made in the MCC. Members can bring papers and books inside the MCC.

The Administrator reserves the right to suspend the membership of any member found misbehaving in the MCC.

The members caught making problems with Computer Systems will be suspended forthwith from using the MCC facilities and the MCC will recommend for further disciplinary action against them.

MCC and its premises should be kept absolutely clean and tidy.

Main objectives

1. Extending the LANs of the departments by a canopy based wireless system so that all the buildings including academic, administrative, residential, hostel are interconnected and creating hot zones throughout these areas.

2. Ensuring that all new buildings are brought under the network .

3. Widening the bandwidth to satisfy its ever increasing academic and research demands from the present 6 Mbps to 10 Mbps.

4. Ensuring that all staff and students are connected.

5. Deploying IT based services for the workflow and academics activities and ensure E-Governance
